Alwin Lay (b. 1984, Romania) lives and works in Cologne, Germany. He studied at the Academy of Media Arts in Cologne and as a guest student at the Kunst Akademie Düsseldorf, Germany.

His works have been shown in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums. Recent exhibitions include Museum Folkwang, Essen, Germany and Dortmunder Kunstverein, Germany, Le Bureau, Düsseldorf, Germany, Museum für Photographie Braunschweig, Germany, Nino Mier Gallery, L.A., US, Kunstverein Siegen, Kunstverein Leipzig, NAK- Neuer Aachener Kunstverein, Max Ernst Museum amongst others.
